Master A: Hand Drip Innovation Inspired by Barista Craftsmanship and a Love for Coffee

The Master A, a groundbreaking hand drip coffee brewer, blends more than a decade of barista expertise with a deep passion for coffee lovers around the world. Developed through years of research, refinement, and relentless testing, this new-concept coffee tool is the brainchild of The GABI, a Korean hand-drip equipment manufacturer. First introduced to the coffee market in 2016, the Master A empowers anyone to brew barista-quality hand-drip coffee—without electricity, electronics, or complex techniques.

Traditionally, great hand-drip coffee required a steady hand, a skilled pour, and a specialized kettle. But Master A breaks that barrier, offering consistently delicious coffee with nothing more than hot water at 90°C. Whether at home, on a camping trip, traveling abroad, or even mid-flight, coffee lovers can now enjoy a rich and flavorful brew with ease.

As global coffee culture evolves, there's been a surge in the popularity of hand-drip cafes and brewing tools designed to move away from the uniformity of machine-extracted coffee. In South Korea too, hand-drip has gained traction. However, despite the interest, many consumers still hesitate to embrace hand-drip at home due to its technical demands and inconsistent results.

“The challenge with traditional hand-drip brewers is their complexity and the variability in taste from one user to another,” said a spokesperson from The GABI. “That’s the problem we solved with Master A.”

The Master A is constructed entirely from 100% polycarbonate—the same high-quality, heat-resistant material used in baby bottles—ensuring safety and durability even under high temperatures (140–150°C). The design also incorporates four patented technologies developed in Korea, reinforcing its innovation and precision.

As the first in a growing product line, the Master A sets the foundation for The GABI’s future brewers and Dutch coffee gear, with a commitment to both performance and accessibility. A unique feature is its versatility: beyond coffee, Master A can also be used to brew tea using the same infusion principle, offering depth and aroma for tea drinkers as well.

Looking ahead, The GABI expects Master A to not only thrive in the Korean market but also make a strong impact internationally. “We believe Master A will become a game-changer in the global hand-drip equipment market,” the company stated confidently.
